The very serious parts, however, like your engine and transmission may need the most protection.
Cover Everything
It’s hard to argue that the engine and transmission are not the most important parts in your vehicle. At the same time, these are the components that last the longest. If you are purchasing a brand new car, it would be silly to enter into our Lifetime Protection Program, which covers both the engine and transmission. However, if you are like most car buyers, you are not buying a brand new car.
When looking into a used model, consider how many miles have accrued. If you are looking at vehicles with over 50,000 miles, especially, this is where our Lifetime Protection Program can come into play.
So, what does this program cover exactly? For the engine, internal lubricated parts, internally lubricated linkages are covered, as well as the engine block and heads if caused by a failure of any of the other items. For the transmission, internally lubricated parts for both automatic and manual transmission, excluding rig, pinon and related bearings in front whee drive differential. Seal and gasket are covered only if required in conjunction with the repair of a covered component, and this has a standard $100 deductible.
Whenever you are purchasing a pre-owned vehicle, this is a great program to have. Let’s say you do not have this coverage and something goes wrong. Now you are responsible for thousands of dollars worth of damage. The cost can even add up to more than you paid for the model itself! That is a risk we do not suggest taking.
